Drop-stitch Working principle

When the board is constantly inflated, the drawing will firmly pull the upper and lower layers of PVC material, and the board will maintain a fixed shape and will not bulge like a balloon. As the pressure continues to increase, the drawing force will gradually increase, and the board will become harder and harder, and it will feel solid when you press it with your hand. Once the wire is broken, the upper and lower layers of PVC lose their bondage and become "expanded" under high pressure.

Monolayer drop-stitch

At present, the most used material on the market, single layer refers to the brushed fabric outside the attached single layer of PVC material, liquid PVC like putty attached to the surface of the brushed fabric, forming a single layer of PVC protective layer, single layer of wire drawing material thickness is generally thin, can withstand low pressure value. Generally around 12-15psi. In hot weather, the air pressure of the inflatable paddle board is not less than 12psi, and in cold weather, the air pressure is not less than 15psi.

Monolayer drop-stitch

Advantages: Light weight, convenient for folding and carrying single-layer materials are mostly used for leisure boards with low strength requirements, children's boards, and larger team boards that need to be easily folded.

Double-deck drop-stitch

The double-layer material is on the basis of the single-layer material, by manually pasting a layer of PVC with glue, the double-layer material will be much thicker than the single layer. It can withstand higher pressure values, and it is recommended to use a pressure value of about 15-20psi. Advantages: high strength, not easy to deformation, durable, good air tightness.
